Drained Protection Simplified:

A Type C System is an internal groundwater management system. The system relies on a cavity between the external skin and internal finish of the structure, groundwater is guided to an appropriate sump and pump system or a suitable drainage outlet with a non-return valve.

Area of use:

Most adaptable for projects that include:
  • New build basements.
  • Any new Underground Structures.
  • Below ground structures.
  • Retaining walls.
  • Existing Below Ground Structures
  • Existing Basement Structures

What you should consider:

  • Contaminated Water entering the system.

  • Ensuring the external basement wall provides enough primary resistance to water ingress to ensure the cavity accepts only a controlled amount of water or dampness

Benefits:

  • Speed of Installation.
  • Provides vapour control and when used with humidity control systems is capable of delivering an environment to all levels within a Grade 3 environment to BS8102:2022.
  • Suitable for use in areas of permanent high water tables.
  • Suitable for use in existing basements.
  • Can also provide radon protection
